CLAREMONT, Calif. (March 19, 2014) – The Sewanee men's tennis team fell just short of victory with a pair of closes against Tufts and Trinity (Conn.) the past couple of days.

After a 9-0 defeat against Trinity, the Tigers dropped a close 5-4 decision against Tufts.

In the match against Tufts, Sewanee rallied after falling behind with three losses in doubles.

At No. 1 singles, Avery Schober defeated Brian Tan in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Eric Roddy then topped Kevin Kelly with a 6-2, 6-7, 7-4 victory.

At No. 5 singles Scott Gallimore defeated Roy Peleg with a pair of 7-5 sets. Alex Cooper then closed out the Sewanee wins against Jake Lazarus by a score of 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.
