No. 3 Emory earns victory over Sewanee

SEWANEE, Tenn. (April 9, 2013) – No. 3 Emory earned a 9-0 win over Sewanee men's tennis team Tuesday at the Guerry Tennis Courts.

Despite sweeping all nine matches, the Tigers did fight hard. At No. 3 doubles, Eric Roddy and Grant Hopkins fell just short of a win when the dropped a 9-8 decision.

In singles Rand Jackson forced Emory's No. 1 player Ian Wagner into a third-set tiebreaker. After Jackson won the first set 6-1, Wagner rallied late to take the final two frames 6-2, 10-7.

The Tigers return to Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play with a 9:00 a.m. match at Millsaps, Saturday.
