Men’s Soccer Routs Fisk in Non-Conference Tune-Up

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee men's soccer team earned a 5-0 victory over Fisk in a non-conference matchup Monday night from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers netted the first goal of the game in the fifth minute off of Zach Zimmerman thanks to an Alpo Sipilä corner kick.

-In the 26th minute, Ben Vaeth found Severin Velasco's pass to make it 2-0.

-Three-plus minutes later, Velasco found Evan Poole for his third goal of the year.

-Late in the first half, Poole scored his fourth goal off a Zach Shopovick assist.

-Shopovick netted the fifth goal of the match off a touch from William Porter.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Evan Poole netted two goals on the two shots that he took.

-Zach Zimmerman, Ben Vaeth and Zach Shopovick each recorded a goal for the victors.

-Evan Stuber (1-0) saved one shot in full time to earn his first win.

FISK KEY STATISTICS
-Jaelin Williams took both shots for the Bulldogs.

-Keemo Gardiner (0-3) saved 11 shots.
