SEWANEE, Tenn. - A 64th-minute goal by Sewanee gives the Tigers the 1-0 win over in-state rival Maryville Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Despite a scoreless first 45 minutes, the Scots took seven first half shots to Sewanee's three.

-The Tigers broke the scoring with a Kyle Johnston goal off an Evan Poole assist in the 64th minute.

-Seconds prior to the Sewanee's goal, Maryville attempted to score, but James Murray was there for the save.

-Despite having 15 shots and seven corner kicks, the Scots did not net the equalizer.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Severin Velasco and Ben Vaeth recorded two shots each for the Tigers.

-Kyle Johnston netted his second goal of the year.

-James Murray (2-2) saved eight shots and he earned his first clean sheet of the season.

MARYVILLE KEY STATISTICS
-Milan Card recorded three shots, two on goal, to lead the Scots.

-Ryan Jorgensen (1-1) saved two shots in full time.
