Tigers roll past Oglethorpe, 23-4

SEWANEE, Tenn. (April 9, 2017) – The Sewanee men's lacrosse team rolled past Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Oglethorpe 23-4, Sunday.

Sewanee led 16-3 at halftime and then outscored the Story Petrels 7-1 in the second half.

Overall, 17 Tigers had goals. That included scores from Cameron Acuff, Peter Brown, Jimmy Parker, Ryan Young, Hayden Byrd, Cal Pearce, Grant Gilmore, Pat DiMento, Thomas Oliver, Henry Burns, Ben Lucas, Will Pratt, Tabb Carneal, Jake Rubenstein, Thomas Lynde, Ian Marr, and Tyler Calnan.

On defense, Bryce Womack, Tal Wharton, and Penn Mayhew combined to allow only four goals.

Cason Liles and Ryan Stubits finished 28-for-31 on faceoffs.

Sewanee returns to action with a 1:00 p.m. match at Rhodes, Friday.
