Men’s Golf Fires Lowest Score in Final Round of SAA Championship, Finishes in Fourth

DICKSON, Tenn. - The Sewanee men's golf team concluded the 2018-19 schedule on Sunday with a fourth place finish at the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Men's Golf Championships from the GreyStone Golf Club.

TOP PERFORMANCES
-Sewanee's 286 score in the final round is the lowest score in the final round of the field of eight in the tournament.

-Basil Boyd climbed up eight spots on the individual leaderboard to earn 15th place with a 223 score (80-74-69). The sophomore earned four birdies and chipped in an eagle on 14.

-Gray Matthews (81-73-71) and Tommy Oliver (74-74-77) each carded a 225 for a tie for 16th place. Matthews also recorded an eagle on 14.

-Zach Russell (226 | 79-75-72), Nick Powell (227 | 80-73-74) and Nic Vandeventer (231 | 78-78-75) rounded out the Sewanee scoring.
