SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee men's basketball extends their winning streak to three games with a 77-56 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) win Sunday afternoon over the Hendrix Warriors. With the win, the Tigers continue to maintain a tie for first place in the SAA standings with three weeks left in the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers controlled the contest from the opening tip, sprinting out to a 10-2 run in the first five minutes of the contest.
-Sewanee pushed out to a 41-27 halftime lead thanks to a 17-of-37 (45.9 percent) from the floor in the opening half and out-rebounding the visitors, 22-13.
-The Purple and Gold played comfortably in the final 20 minutes, limiting the Warriors to less than 30 percent (11-of-38) from the field and 20-of-67 (30 percent) for the entire contest.
FROM FOUR TO TWO
-The Tigers continue to remain in a tie for the SAA standings, joining Centre and Oglethorpe who are also 7-2 in league play.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Adrian Thomas recorded a double-double for the third straight game and in six of the last eight games with 19 points and a career-best 17 rebounds.
-Luke Smith dropped 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting and added three dimes.
-Hunter Buescher scored 16 points for the Tigers in the win.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Kam Brasfield led all scorers with 20 points, while Michael Calamese and Trey Rouse scored 12 and 11, respectively.
