SEWANEE, Tenn. - Leading by five points with 15:06 left in the second half, the Sewanee men's basketball team used a 14-6 run to push the game in the home team's favor, as the Tigers snap their three-game losing streak and improve to 2-0 in conference play by defeating the Majors of Millsaps College, 67-52, Friday night inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee sprinted out to an 11-2 start in the first 6:13 of the contest.
-The Tigers led 35-24 at the break on 45 percent shooting (14-of-31), while limiting their opponent to 32.1 percent (9-of-28) from the floor.
-Millsaps came out shooting lights out at the start of the second half. A Sam Kohnke three-pointer cut the deficit to nine, 35-27. Sewanee responded by going on a 6-0 run.
-With 16:42 left in the half, the Majors dropped the deficit to single digits again thanks to a 9-0 run in a 3:10 span to cut the Sewanee lead to five points, 41-36.
-Once again, the Tigers came out roaring, going on a 6-0 run to push the lead again into double digits. The offense would hold true for the Tigers as they improve to 2-0 in SAA play.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Cam Caldwell recorded his first double-double of the season and the second of his career with a 15-point, 11-rebound performance on 7-of-13 shooting. The junior also blocked three shots.
-Adrian Thomas dropped 16 points, grabbed five boards, recorded three dimes and recorded two picks.
-Luke Smith scored 11 points and dished out seven assists in the win.
-Sean McDonough drained three shots from downtown to collect nine points off the bench.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Michael Sullivan and Joshua Miller scored 11 points each for the Majors.
Sewanee will conclude a quick weekend homestand Sunday afternoon when Birmingham-Southern comes to town. Tip is scheduled for 3 p.m.
