Stone named to the All-South Region Team

SEWANEE, Tenn. (March 14, 2017) –On Tuesday, Sewanee senior men's basketball student-athlete Brody Stone was named a Third-Team All-Region selection.

Stone is the first Tiger men's basketball player since Turner Emory, C'98, to be selected as an all-region player.

Stone is one of only two Southern Athletic Association (SAA) student-athletes to be named the 2016-17 All-South Region squad. Along with the Knoxville, Tenn., native, 2016-17 SAA Player of the Year Hank Aldous of Hendrix was selected.

This past season, Stone ranked first in the SAA in minutes played, 12th in field goal percentage (50.5), first in total rebounds (273), and 10th in assists (67).

Throughout the season, the now two-time All-SAA selection scored in double figures 17 times and had double-digit rebounds in 15 games.
