SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee field hockey team suffered a 2-0 setback to the Maroons on Roanoke Tuesday afternoon from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Originally slated for a 6 p.m. start Monday evening, the contest was suspended in the 50th minute due to foggy conditions. Play was resumed Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
-Roanoke struck for their two goals in the 25th and 36th minutes.
-Sewanee struggled to get the ball inside the circle early, but in the final 35 minutes, the team struck for seven shots.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Ceara Caffrey had three shots, all on goal, while Buckler Norman took two.
-Rachel Blum (3-3) saved six shots.
ROANOKE KEY STATISTICS
-Emilee Wooten and Fiona Dougan each took three shots. Wooten and Kaylin Stenson scored goals for the Maroons.
-Emma Clark (8-3) posted the clean sheet on six shots.
Sewanee will head on the road this weekend to step back into conference play. The Tigers will head to the Colonels of Centre Saturday.
