Field Hockey Falls to Ohio Wesleyan

DELAWARE, Ohio - The Sewanee field hockey team were shut out by Ohio Wesleyan, 2-0, Saturday afternoon at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.

The Battling Bishops (4-6) netted two goals in a 1:17 span late in the first half. The goals were scored in the 33rd and 34th minutes.

Ceara Caffrey led the team with six shots, two on goal, as Sewanee (4-2) outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 21-17, in the match, including 15 in the second half.

Katya Waters (3-2) saved nine shots in goal.

The Tigers will wrap up the weekend trip at Wittenberg, beginning at 11 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. CT on Sunday.
