Sewanee dominates Hendrix for a 3-0 win

CONWAY, Ark. (Oct. 2, 2016)  The Sewanee field hockey team dominated Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Hendrix for a 3-0 win, Sunday, at Warrior Field.

Sewanee opened the scoring when freshman Ceara Caffrey scored her sixth goal this season off a great crossing pass from senior Kat Mulligan.

The Tigers then added two second-half goals, one from Virginia Barry, and the other from Emily Sloan. Both scores were assisted from senior Carrie Anderson.

Sewanee finished with nine players with at least two shots. JoJo Young, Caffrey, and Anderson led the attack with six shots each.

Overall, the Tigers led in shot attempts 41-10. Sewanee also held a 12-5 advantage in corners.

Sewanee returns to action by hosting rival Centre, Saturday.
