Zach Schultz enters his first year on the Tigers Football staff as Sewanee's defensive backs coach.
Schultz comes to Sewanee after spending a year as a graduate assistant coach at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.
Prior to that, Schultz served as a football assistant at Illinois Wesleyan University, working with the defensive line.
A 2014 graduate of Illinois College with a degree in exercise science (minor in psychology), Schultz played four seasons as a defensive lineman for the Blueboys.
Schultz spent a season as an assistant offensive and defensive line coach at Heyworth (Ill.) High School and has worked as a strength coach at Bloomington's Four Seasons Health Club. Schultz also earned a master's degree in sports psychology at Illinois State University in 2016.
