SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee football student-athlete Micah Maes has been named Tiger of the Week after his performance against Centre this past Saturday.
Having to play under center for the contest, the Ponoma, Calif. native finished the day with 120 passing and rushing yards each, scoring two of the three touchdowns.
Through the air, the junior went 14-of-28 with one score, a 19-yard pass to Cyrus McCullough to make it a 14-13 game midway through the second quarter.
On the ground, he rushed the ball 15 times for 120 yards and a 24-yard score late in the fourth quarter.
Serving as the punter as well, Maes averaged 28.5 yards per punt, with one landing inside the 20-yard-line.
With the regular season complete, the Tigers finished the season with a 4-6 record, earning the most wins in a season since 2013.
