MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Sewanee football team suffered a 44-3 loss to the hands of No. 13/14 Berry Saturday evening from Valhalla Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Berry scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and three in the second quarter for a 34-0 lead at the break.

-Sewanee broke the shutout with a 49-yard field goal by Michael Jacobs with 12:08 left in the third quarter.

-For the contest, Berry recorded 447 yards of total offense and limited Sewanee to 90 offensive yards.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Between Alex Darras and Grayson Baker, the duo went 6-of-21 with 52 yards.

-Zach Milan rushed seven times for 39 yards.

-Wesley Porter and William Phillips each collected an interception. Phillips' pick was returned for 46 yards.

BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Tate Adcock went 13-of-19 for 209 yards and three scores.

-Isaiah Dawson rushed for two touchdowns on eight carries and 41 yards.

-The Vikings defense recorded seven sacks and 11 tackles for a loss.

Sewanee returns home for a contest with Birmingham-Southern. The contest will be under the lights at historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium next Saturday at 6 p.m.
