SEWANEE, Tenn. - The 2017 season has been a historical one for Sewanee football, and on Saturday, more history will be made as the Tigers host the Berry Vikings Saturday night at historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

ALL OF THE LIGHTS: Saturday's game will be the 1,042nd football game for Sewanee and the 446th at historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium. This will be the first-ever game under the lights for Sewanee football in the school's 122-plus year history.

SHINING THE LIGHT ON FAMILY WEEKEND: Sewanee will play this weekend on Family Weekend, and during contests that happen on Family Weekend, the Tigers are 18-19.

LIGHTING UP THE SCOREBOARD: Berry is third in the conference in points scored with 32.8 points per game, but Sewanee is only one point behind the Vikings, as the Tigers are fourth with 31.8 per game. Below is a comparison on how the scoring has been done:

ENLIGHTEN US: Berry is 5-0 for the first time in school history, and the Vikings earned a national ranking for the first time in program history, cracking the top 25 at No. 24. Berry is 3-0 in SAA play and since a 2-17 start in the first two years of their program, Berry is 21-4 in their last 25 games since.

FINDING THE LIGHT OF THE RECEIVER: Alex Darras set new career marks on Saturday against Hendrix in pass completions, pass attempts and yards, going 24-for-45 for 353 yards. The Ooletwah, Tenn. native, who is scheduled to start his second home start Saturday night, has thrown for 1,138 yards so far in five games this season.

SHEDDING SOME NATIONAL LIGHT: Freshman William Phillips earned his second D3football.Com Team of the honor. In Week 1, he was named one of two cornerback members after his fumble recovery for a touchdown that saw him run 98 yards for the first score of 2017. Announced on Tuesday, the Nashville, Tenn. native made the Team again, this time as a returner. Phillips notched his second touchdown that he was responsible for this season thanks to a 66-yard punt return for a touchdown.
