FULL RESULTS
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Sewanee competed at the Alabama A&M Bulldog Relays Saturday. The Tiger women finished fourth and the men were fifth.
For the Sewanee men,
Clay Bond (Atlanta, Ga., Lovett) won the mile run with 4:33.06.
John Gilmer (Mobile, Ala., St. Paul's) finished second in the 800 with a 2:01.69.
John Ugorji (Washington, D.C., Friendship Collegiate) was fourth in the 400 with a 49.38.
For the Sewanee women,
Leisha Meade (Sevierville, Tenn., Pigeon Forge) was the event winner in the shot put (36-08) and second place in the discus (95-04).
Mitzi Harrington (Warner, N.H., Dana Hall) won the 3000 meter run (11:20.27) and was third in the mile run (5:46.54).
Jourdan Cooney (Mt. Dora, Fla., Mt. Dora Bible) was third in the pole vault, clearing eight feet and had a second place mark of 28-05.5 in the triple jump.
The Tigers next competition will be at the Birmingham-Southern Invitational next weekend.
