SEWANEE, Tenn. -- The Austin College men's basketball team jumped out to an early lead in the first few minutes Sunday, and Sewanee couldn't rally. The visiting 'Roos took home the 82-48 win over Sewanee.
Trent Williams (Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Lawrence County) led Sewanee with 11 points, followed by
Andrew Little (Charlotte, N. C., Southlake Christian), who had nine points and three steals. Williams was 3-6 from behind the three-point line. Spencer Burke, Kyle Lintelman and Josh Saunders each had 11 to lead Austin College. Austin College had a 54-27 lead in field goal percentage on the day and out-rebounded the Tigers 39-38.
Sewanee is now 4-13 and 1-8 in the SCAC. The Tigers will play at Millsaps and Hendrix next weekend. Austin is 12-5 and 6-3 in the league.
