SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee Senior
Jordan Casey (Charleston, S.C., James Island) has been named first team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). “The remarkable thing about Jordan Casey is that her academic achievements represent a true love of learning,” remarked Sewanee coach Conchie Shackelford. “She immerses herself in a variety of subjects because she is truly stimulated by them.”
Casey recently earned her degree in Spanish and Biology and graduated with a 4.03 grade point average. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was a Rhodes Scholarship finalist in 2008.
