MEMPHIS, Tenn. 4/19/09 – The Rhodes Lynx defeated the Sewanee Tigers 22-5 today in SCAC baseball action. It was the final game of the 2009 season for the Tigers.
Chris Mauro (Washington, D.C., St. Alban's) suffered the loss on the mound for Sewanee.
The Tigers were paced at the plate by Taylor Barrett (Murfreesboro, Tenn., Siegel) who was 2-for-4 on the day with an RBI. Franklin Pogue (Nashville, Tenn., Father Ryan) was 1-2 and picked up two RBI. Trey Axe (Austin, Tex., St. Andrew's), Austin Stephenson (Charlotte, N.C., Providence) and Bryant Denison (Baton Rouge, La., University) each had one hit.
The Tigers complete the season with an 8-22 record overall and a 2-12 mark in the SCAC.
