Sewanee men's basketball coach Bubba Smith is offering the 2009 Sewanee Basketball Camps, which are now underway. A one-day shooting camp was offered on June 6th. Instructional camp will be offered later in the summer.
Instructional Camp
(Ages 8-18 boys, girls day only)
July 19-22
$350 (Overnight), $225 (Day Campers)
Our four day instructional camp will consist of teaching the fundamentals of offense, team defense, ball handling, passing, shooting, and free throw shooting. The week includes daily stations that teach the fundamentals of the game, individual competition, and five-on-five team play. All games and individual competition conclude with a camp championship and competition finals at the end of the week. Campers will be given the opportunity to swim daily in the Fowler center pool, supervised by certified lifeguards.
Overnight campers will participate in special night programs and theme nights that make your camp stay unique and memorable.
Registration: will be on Sunday from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Day campers will eat dinner and stay until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Monday-Wednesday day campers will be dropped off at 8:00 a.m. and picked up at 5:00 p.m. Camp ends at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with and awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
