SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Sewanee men’s and women’s cross country teams have been named 2008 NCAA DIII All Academic Teams, according to Keith Nunez, communications director of the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). To be eligible, a team must have above a 3.1 team grade point average.
Sewanee senior
Hayley Robb (Huntsville, Ala., Randolph) was also named to the 2008 NCAA Division III USTFCCCA Women’s All-Academic Team. Robb maintains a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA and scored a 4.0 last term. She was also named All-SCAC and All-Region for her athletic performance in 2008.
I am really proud of the work our teams have done in the classroom,” said Sewanee coach
Jeff Heitzenrater. “They continue to balance the challenges of academics and varsity athletics successfully. Hayley Robb is a tremendous student who had a very successful season as a runner as well. She is a great example of a hard-working, dedicated, Division III student-athlete.”
