SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Haley Shepherd, a first-year swimmer from Evans, Ga., has been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets from Monday, November 2 through Sunday, November 8, according to SCAC commissioner Dwayne Hanberry.This is the second week in a row a women's swimmer from Sewanee has claimed the honor.
Shepherd, At the two day Sewanee Invitational, won four out of five possible individual events, set one meet record and recorded two un-rested life-time best swims. She won the 50 back (28.86), the 100 IM 1:03.24 (new met record), the 400 IM (4:51.97), the 100 back (1:02.69 just 10 minutes after her 400 IM win) and was runner up in the 200 back by a mere .37, swimming the distance in 2:14.51. Shepherd also contributed to Sewanee's 100 Medley (3rd) and 200 Medley Relay (2nd).
