SEWANEE MEN’S BASKETBALL
2nd ANNUAL SHOOTING/SKILLS CAMP

Hosted by Head Men’s Coach Bubba Smith

Learn the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and exciting way!

This one-day camp is designed for all skill levels and will be open for participants age 7-18. Campers will be given tips on the proper mechanics of shooting and will be taught the basics of offense, team defense, ball handling, and passing. The camp will include stations that teach the fundamentals of the game, individual competitions, and five-on-five team play.

This camp will provide you with drills and creative ways to remember proper techniques throughout the year. Drop off time is 9:00 a.m. and pick up time is 4:00 p.m. A confirmation letter will be sent to you after receiving your camp registration and payment. (You must bring a bag lunch, drinks will be provided.)

DATE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 7TH*
TIME: 9 A.M. TO 4 P.M. (Registration will begin at 9:00 A.M.)
COST: $60 – discounts available for teams (7+ players) and siblings
AGES: 7 TO 18 (BOYS AND GIRLS)

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Centre played men's basketball at Juhan Gym in Sewanee on Sunday and the visiting Colonels jumped out to a 29-9 lead over Sewanee at halftime. Sewanee rallied, outscoring the Colonels 29-27 in the second, but the deficit was too great to overcome. Centre earned the 56-38 win.

SEWANEE, Tenn. -- After falling back 14-2 in the first seven minutes of the game, Sewanee rallied, outscoring DePauw for the rest of the contest, but DePauw held the host Sewanee Tigers off and got the 50-41 SCAC men's basketball win. Sewanee senior Jeremy Simpson (Decatur, Tenn., McMinn County) was honored for Senior Night Before the game.

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sewanee will host DePauw in SCAC basketball action tonight, with the women tipping off at 6 pm and the men at 8 pm. For the women, seniors Kelly Morrison (Bridgeport, W. Va., Notre Dame) and Jamie Robinson (Ft. Worth, Tex., Ft. Worth Country Day) will be honored during halftime of the men's game. For the men, senior Jeremy Simpson (Decatur, Tenn., McMinn County) will be honored before the men's game. Additionally, the Sewanee women will be participating in the WBCA's Pink Zone©.

The Pink Zone has over 1,500 schools particpating and is the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's way to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The team will warm up in pink sweats, wear ink laces, and the coaches and staff will be wearing pink.
