SEWANEE, Tenn. -- For 5 Fridays this spring, Sewanee football players, led by Chalankis Brown, Geoffrey Marolda, Bruce Frommeyer, Alfonza Knight, Clayton Harrison, and Patrick Shelton, worked with Sewanee Elementary School children in grades 1st through 5th, teaching them basic football skills as well as life and leadership lessons.
"On these five Fridays, the players spent two hours with the kids and had a blast," said head coach Robert Black. I am quite sure they had as much fun as the SES children did. Working with these young kids is just another way our guys are involved in and contribute to the Sewanee community, and I am very proud of their own initiative in taking part in the school program."
