03.18 | Men's Tennis
The Sewanee men’s tennis team fell to 7-6 so far in 2010 with losses to #17 Pomona-Pitzer and Chapman on Tuesday and Wednesday on its annual spring break trip to California. The Tigers fell 9-0 to Pomona and 5-4 to Chapman. Chapman rallied after falling back 3-0 in doubles to win five of six singles matches and earn the one-point win. Philip Kuntz (Atlanta, Ga., Dunwoody) won Sewanee’s only singles win at #5.

WINTER HAVEN, Fla.  3/17/10 – McDaniel College broke open a 2-2 game with four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and held on to beat the Sewanee Tigers 6-3 today in Florida spring break baseball action.

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. 3/16/10 – The Sewanee Tigers, behind the pitching of Wilson Nealy (Nashville, Tenn., Montgomery Bell Academy) and the bat of Alan Komorowski (Rochester, N.Y., Aquinas Institute), defeated Vassar College today in Russ-Matt Invitational baseball action by the score of 15-5.  The Tigers are now 4-1 on their spring break trip.

3.16.10 | Women's Lacrosse
SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Sewanee women’s lacrosse team moved to 3-1 on Monday with a marathon day of lacrosse. In the morning game, the Tigers slammed Pomona-Pitzer 20-8 and in the nighcap, Sewanee got 6-0 on Occidental and then 13-6 before Oxy scored eight unanswered goals to take the one-goal lead with 24 minutes left. Sewanee then scored 10 of the next 13 goals to get the 23-17 win.
