SAA Announces Fall Sportsmanship Teams

ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced on Friday the 2017 Fall Sportsmanship Teams.

The SAA places a special emphasis on good sportsmanship, great character, and fair play among all competitors.

Selected by the head coaches, below are the representatives for Sewanee:

Men's Cross Country - Jack Barganier
Bargainer, a sophomore from Montgomery, Ala., recorded a season-best time of 27:24.3 at the 2017 South/Southeast Regional Championships.

Women's Cross Country - Hannah Faulkner
Faulkner, a junior from Woodbury, Tenn., recorded a season-best time of 24:55.8 in the South/Southeast Regional Championships. 

Football - Glenn Ireland
Ireland, a senior from Chattanooga, Tenn., recorded 62 total tackles and had one interception for the Tigers defense.

Field Hockey - Madison McAdams
McAdams, a senior from Houston, Texas, recorded two goals and a defensive save in her career as a midfielder.

Men's Soccer - Noah Day
Day, a senior from Brentwood, Tenn., scored two career goals in 21 career matches.

Women's Soccer - Kiley Ezzell
Ezzell, a senior from New Orleans, La., scored nine career goals and tallied 24 total points. In 2017, she scored three goals and assisted on two shots.

Volleyball - Constance Connolly
Connolly, a sophomore from Memphis, Tenn., recorded 218 digs and had 46 service aces in the 2017 season for the program.
